I am a potter based in Asheville, NC. I make high fired functional and decorative stoneware for everyday use. I strive to create things of beauty for the home. Living in the mountains , I am surrounded and inspired by the colors and patterns of nature, which are reflected in my pots.
My glazes are hand mixed in earth tones. Each piece is formed on the potter's wheel , glazed in up th 3 different glazes, and fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln. Glazes are non-toxic, food safe, and pieces are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.
In addition to the high fired stoneware, I make decorative , alternative fired pots, or Raku. These are low fired, and are not food safe or water soluble.
